Meet Your Mental Guides!

These fun and clever friends guide individuals in mental training and spark the human spirit.
They invite young people to practice the exercises daily, feel good inside daily,  and care for themselves while working hard every single day.

Introducing Zola—Our Newest Guide!

Zola struggles like everyone, and she says, “It’s okay. It’s normal.”

She feels pressured and nervous, but then she slows down. She gets quiet and breathes with Zen Tiger. She practices with all of her friends, Aura, Athena, and Oz…and her nerves get smaller. She stays in the present moment to feel in control. She says, “I have all the power inside me!” Zola is learning self-compassion and how to LOVE HERSELF MORE each day. Zen Tiger

Breathe & Relax, Feel Peaceful Inside

“How are you feeling? Okay. Say, I want to feel peaceful inside.”

Zen is calm inside. Zen teaches individuals to slow down and check in with themselves. Practice breathing in and out. Repeat calming words out loud, it helps to create a habit of feeling calm and peaceful inside. The Zen mat is the foundation for every practice to manage emotions and feel safe and in control, especially in challenging, tense moments.

Aura the Orangutan

Positive Self-Talk, Your Amazing Inner Power

“My mind and body work together.”

Aura repeats positive phrases. Each number on the mat has 3 phrases. Daily, individuals can choose a number and repeat the phrases 3 x. Write them down in their Mental Power (MP) Journal. No need to repeat all six in one day; choose or make up positive phrases that feel good.

Athena the Owl

Visualize, Imagine Every Move

“In your mind, see and feel each exact position.”

Athena explains how to slow down and visualize accurately. Start with simple positions. After 3-4 weeks—or 50 slow repetitions—seeing and feeling a skill in detail becomes easier. Look at the Mental Power (MP) Journal for detailed instruction and illustrations on pages 12-13.

Oz the Orca

Conquer, Nerves, Fear & Mental Blocks

“Feeling nervous and afraid is okay.”

Oz puts individuals at ease, repeating that it’s normal and healthy to feel afraid. Do breathing and simple drills with kids. Confirm that small steps give confidence because that allows them the ability to focus better and make progress faster.

Practicing mental exercises fosters emotional intelligence in children and enhances their mental health. Our Mental Power Station® is intended to help kids manage challenges, increase confidence, and be more resilient when times are tough. Read our full disclaimer.
